What a Fortnite radar actually does
A radar draws a top-down overlay — usually a movable, resizable window — plotting every player, and often loot and objectives, relative to your position and facing. Nothing is drawn in the 3D world, so nothing changes about what a spectator sees on your screen during a fight.
That is the whole appeal: it carries most of the value of ESP (where people are, which direction they're rotating, whether you're about to be third-partied) while your crosshair, aim and on-screen picture stay completely ordinary.
Better implementations let you scale the zoom, cap the range, colour by team or threat, and show an arc for where each player is looking, so you can read a rotation instead of just a dot.

Using a radar without getting flagged
- Cap the range to roughly the distance you could plausibly hear or see. Reacting to a player across the map is the tell.
- Park the radar window off to the side rather than centre-screen; you want glances, not staring.
- Zoom out before rotating and in before a push — the useful zoom level is different for each.
- If you record or stream, a radar in the corner of the capture is still a radar. Move it off the captured region.

- What does a Fortnite radar show?
- Player positions and facing at minimum, plotted top-down relative to you. Editions with world ESP usually plot loot, containers and extracts on the same overlay — the breakdown on this page is generated from the live feature list of every Fortnite edition we stock.
- Is a radar safer than ESP?
- Behaviourally, yes — nothing renders in the 3D world, so your gameplay footage looks normal. Detection risk is the same as any other module of the same edition, because it's the same software; what changes is how obvious you look to other players.
- Can I run only the radar?
- Yes. Every module toggles independently, so you can run visuals-only, radar-only, or radar plus a tuned aim assist — nothing forces you to enable the loud parts.
